Day 7

Today my friend Jody was going to be running with the Olympic torch. She got this oppertunity to go to the other side of Canada and run in a little town. Unfortunately no family of friends could go there and be with her and I was sad for that fact. Such an exciting event for anyone I really wished there would have been someone there that could support her and share in her excitement. Day 6-7 - R2

Yesterday I offered 25 $ for a cancer collect initiated by my co-worker - Had not been the 29-gift challenge, I would have given less, because of my donation to Haiti - But since my company doubles the donation if it's a minimum of 25$, I did the effort. That made me think I could budget an additional monthly amount for donation because there are constantly all kind of request at work, that I usually deny because a small amount is already held on my pay check.

Day 1 (again) - Share your Feelings

I decided to start my gift giving journey over today for a couple reasons. Reason #1 was I missed a day which means I start over anyway and #2 I realized I wanted to give 29 gifts to my 7 year old daughter. I'm not the best parent in the world and decided to use this to help me train myself to be a better mother to her. I hope to point out more of what she does right, give her more hugs, show more empathy.

Well I knew when I signed up for this that somedays were going to be trying....and I may not be able to gift anyone. Yesterday was beyond rough...there is a lot of days like this lately...this is why I started this 29 day challange to try to combat the roughness in my life...it was a 19 hour day at work yesterday, pretty ugly day...so when I got home at 11 I though man I did not give any gifts today....I decided that it was just going to be one of those that I would not be able to do anything...… Continue
