Cards for Soldiers
Just came across this website: http://www.anysoldier.com/
It provides you with names/addresses so you can send cards to soldiers who don't get any mail while they are in harm's way. Just thought I'd pass it along!

Jessica, you made me smile this morning when I saw this giving idea. I smiled because many years ago during the Viet Nam war...I was a young girl, and in my parents news paper, lists of soldiers names and addresses would be posted. Hundreds of guys serving us that wanted mail so badly from home.
My twin sister and I got boxes of cards and cut out cartoons from the Sunday funnies to put inside each one to make them laugh. We would write about anything funny or good to share with the hundreds we would send mail to. Some soldiers wrote back. A few kept intouch for along time and wrote of how much each piece of mail meant to them.

Wonderful idea, and if you purchase the cards from Etsy from a new seller (handmade), it's even better! Alas! I'm out of money so I might have to make my own. It's more difficult than one imagines!
