February - "You've Been Hugged"
Today, I came across 2 basic valentine's cards and decided to do a variation of the halloween "You've been Boo'd" tradition.
I will pick up a few valentines trinkets (dollar store is a great place to look) and candies and put them in 2 inexpensive gift bags with some tissue.
I cut out some hearts http://familyfun.go.com/printables/heart-pattern-703484/ using this template - one page red, one white. I made two little hearts and wrote "Hang on your door to show you've been hugged." I tucked a little heart inside each of the valentines card and wrote "Enjoy the goodies and share the fun. Refill the bag and pass it on." Hugs from a neighbor.
I will anonymously place a bag on 2 neighbors' doorsteps and hope they'll continue the gesture.

We love doing the Boo at Halloween and I honestly never even thought of doing it for Valentine's Day. It's actually blizzard weather here in Indiana but I bet the kids and I could go up to the retirement home and get the Hugging going on there!! Thank you for the idea!!
