29-Day Giving Challenge

Chuck Campbell needs a lung transplant very soon. March 31st is right around the corner. He and his friends are having a raffle to help him get one. If you can help please do or if you can help get this cause more exposure it would be very greatly appreciated.

A car and townhouse/cash equivelent, are being raffled off to raise money for Chuck Campbell's lung transplant that insurance will not cover. The raffle will be ending soon.

If anyone would be interested in helping his cause, it would be greatly appreciated. I am passing the word along in hopes of my doing that, Chuck can get the surgery he needs.

Chuck Campbell's website is:  http://fiftydollarhouseandcar.com/

Anything you can do, including spreading the word would so greatly appreciated!

Thank you so very much!   Myra Wolf

This is such a worthy cause, Myra.

We have so many great opportunities for giving on 29gifts. Helping to save the life of someone who offered his life freely to fight for every freedom we enjoy - well, in my opinion, has to be among the top.

I hope everyone who reads this says a prayer for this hero and his family and, if able, donate at least $1 to his surgery, if you can't afford a ticket for the raffle. Although the prize would be nice, this is about a life, and every prayer and every penny can help save him.

Our prayers and support are with you, Chuck.

Mary I agree completely! I also want you to be one of the first to know...CHUCK IS FLYING OUT TO LA TOMORROW !! to tape The Ellen Show!!! It is suppose to air Wednesday!!!! I am so happy for him right now I could burst wide open!!!! xoxox my friend. Your support has meant the world to me! Thank you, Thank YOU!
OUTSTANDING!!!! I'll be sure to watch. Thanks for letting me know.
Chuck has alot of support on facebook...one of the many replies he has received: If anyone can reach down deeply in their hearts and spread the word if not donate that is what this Country is about in times of need. WIth the health care system the way it is in the USA, we should all join hands in helping one another despite what Insurance companies will cover. When people unite they can move the world...

Hi Chuck, my name is Vito Valenti and I am a 9/11 First Responder who is now disabled with Pulmonary Fibrosis. I want to tell you that my thought's and prayer's are with you, and your family always. I have done many interviews on tv, and in the press, along with yourself. I was also in the Michael Moore's movie SICKO, ...and on the VIEW with Rosie O' Donnell. Chuck, I want to say to you stay strong, and God Bless You.
I woke up this morning with little birds singing by my window.
As the fund raiser that I posted since signing up for the 29gift challenge comes close to the deadline, I decided to gift Chuck again with another donation.
Giving something that you have the least of can be anything. We could have little love, hope, communication, companionship, clothes, friendship, jewelry, food,or a number of many other things. Many of us have little money to match our living expenses, much less for anything else.
My other gift to Chuck is not only another donation of money, but of hope, love and friendship too. My gift is to hope he can get the gift of his life back. My gift is to help in his fight with my little bit of help, to show and receive more love. A life he shares with a wife, children, family and friends that he loves very much hope for that too. But that alone will not extend his life..
If his insurance had covered his transplant, we would probably have never heard of him. He is a fighter. He trained as a Marine. He learned how to fight for his life and ours too, if he had to. In his present condition he is fighting for his life with very little left of one. The Marines have a motto that no man will be left behind. Many people are fighting to not leave Chuck behind.

Please take time to read this and just by spreading the word about his cause, you also will be helping with a gift. One of the most precious....the chance for life.
Update...It appears that Chuck was on the Ellen show....I saw him in the front row with a yellow sweater. But he didn't get called up ..his friends are still trying very hard to get last minute exposure. He was clapping and smiling at Ellen though..amazing. I don't think I could smile or clap or even go out of my house if I were facing what he is.
I missed it - I thought Ellen came on at a later time here and I left the house right when it actually started.

Posting an update: Today Chuck Campbell with be on the Bonnie Hunt Show. On the East Coast it airs at 10 am.
I am watching the "Bonnie Hunt" show as I type. This has been one of the most moving talk shows I have ever seen. Not only has Bonnie been so completely wonderful in helping spread the word with Chuck Campbell and his family, but Joey Pants a guest donated out of his pocket. People in the audience got up and took money from their pockets and donated right on the show to Chuck.
There are no words to tell people what I saw on Bonnie Hunt's show this morning as Chuck, his wife, children, Chris Hagel and his wife sat crying. Beautiful, wonderful, touching and something I will remember the rest of my life. Giving, caring people from Bonnie, her guests and her audience. She is truly also a remarkable human being.

That is my update to the people on this site also helping with prayers, spreading the word and or donations, you are all truly remarkable human beings too I will keep everyone posted as I am updated. Thank you everyone.

much love,
Myra
