29-Day Giving Challenge

I have an expansive heart rock collection that I have hand picked from many beaches, dirt roads and the deep woods. People seem to love the idea of gathering these love stones, especially when they see the vast amount that I have accumulated (more than 100). So, when someone really shows interest in my rocks, I select one to give away, especially for them, but with one condition - that they begin their own collection. They not only get a heart rock, but also a new hobby. Or obsession. I can't walk a beach, ride my bike or take a hike without incessantly scanning the earth for these precious little love gems. Try it, it's addictive. And pass it on.

I'm a rabid shell hunter / collector and occasionally find wonderful, smooth pebbles. I've never found a stone in the shape of a heart! I'll have to look harder from now on. Very cool!

Would you mind posting a picture? I'd love to see some of your love rocks.

This last spring, I picked up a heart rock on the shores of Lake Michigan when I was with my children. It always brings a smile to my face b/c it was such a lovely spur of the moment outing for us.

Oh, and I also gave a tip even though I had food to go. I wasn't going to leave it but then changed my mind and went back in to give it to the waitress since the homeless lady outside whom I was going to give it to had already left.
