29-Day Giving Challenge

I remember reading in the book that it is good to try to give away a gift that is scarce in your life, like money or time. What if you feel it's something else, like health or love?

I think money and time were just examples. What is scarce in our lives could be different for each person - so if it's health or love for you then I think that would fit the bill. :)
thx kelly, i understand, but what would that look like to give those gifts away?
Health and love are huge gives! I've had fellow members send reiki healing my way. As a former skeptic who is in chronic pain 24x7, I am now a believer who really did feel warming pain relief following the experiences.

I'm a member of Wish Upon A Hero (wishuponahero.com) and I'm helping someone get a health issue resolved. It finally started to come together today and I'm so excited, I can't stand it!

While I have lots of love in my life (wonderful husband, huge, close-knit family, and my unconditionally loving pets), it's so true that when you give love, you receive it. You can never give enough or receive enough love!

I look forward to reading your blogs and seeing how you incorporate love and health into your gifts, if you choose to.

Happy Giving!
Mary!
Or .... here's another take ... as someone living with MS (as Cami is ...) ... I can give/share my approach to my health, fear of diagnosis, listen to someone's fears about life with illness and identity changes ...listening seems to be the best received gift ...

Just random thoughts,
Best, Caitlin

Go ahead and do it!

I personally love this concept. The very smallest acts of giving go a long way, as we are all learning, offering limitless positive change.  The personal growth you may experience from giving a gift that is scarce in your own life may hold more meaning and be quite powerful.  This is truly a very selfless act of giving. I believe that whatever it may be that is scarce in your own life is irrelevant, it is the very concept itself that holds value.  As we each experience different things in our lives that are scarce, the act of giving such an item, whatever it may be, would have very positive outcomes for all.  I feel this is a powerful act of random kindness and would be a great learning experience!
