29-Day Giving Challenge

This month marks the beginning of the traditional holiday season, complete with Thanksgiving - a holiday devoted to being grateful for the bounty in our lives. It’s a time to take notice of what we have, whether that’s things, or people.

I have so much to be grateful for this holiday season - a thriving community of givers, a newly released book, wonderful friends and family, my health, and the opportunity to share the spirit of the 29 Gifts movement with thousands of people.

So in the spirit of the upcoming holiday, as well as that of our 29 Gifts Movement, I have decided to start this discussion in hopes that each of you will leave replies telling us 3 (or more!) things in your life that you are grateful for. What are you grateful for today?

I've also begun a Gratitude Greetings event for this month. You can read more and join in here:

1) I'm grateful I found the "29-Day Giving Challenge".

2) I’m grateful that at this moment in time my whole family is healthy.

3) I’m grateful I have a husband and children that love me because I love then more then anything in this world!

Three simple things that I am VERY grateful for!
I feel so blessed for so many things! But, my top 3 things are my job, my health, and my loved ones.

I am grateful for...
1- Having an abundance of love in my life.
2- Working in a field I love and that makes a difference in the world.
3- Having the strength to treat my body well.
Today I am grateful for:
1. getting out of bed when it's light out! Love the time change...
2. our dear old Sheltie and her ability to hang out all day without us
3. my workout schedule even though my legs are real tired tonight!
4. my husband, my beautiful adult kids and my large extended family - to love and be loved by!
I have so much to be grateful for, I don't even know where to begin! I start my day by lying in bed for a few minutes, thanking God for all my blessings. It's a wonder I'm not late to work! LOL

These are some of the foremost blessings in my life, for which I am extremely grateful:
1) The love of God and the beautiful world He created for me to enjoy. I love this time of year, with its colorful leaves, crisp air, and the scents of foods like hot spiced cider, pumpkin pie, turkey... I also love the beautiful full moon out tonight.
2) My mind, body, and spirit - intelligence, curiosity, enthusiasm, creativity, faith, the ability to live independently.
3) My family and wonderful friends.
4) My lovely home and furnishings, including all my BOOKS.
5) My four precious dogs, who give me so much love and companionship.
6) A great job with the state division of developmental disabilities for 11 years, and a promotion as of the 1st of this month. It's wonderful to have a job, to enjoy my job, to do work that helps others, and to work with such loving and supportive people!
7) For Charles & Myrtle Fillmore for developing the Unity movement, the wonderful Unity teachings, and my great local Unity Church - we have a fabulous and inspirational minister, loving members, interesting classes, fun events...
8) For the gift of life, for love, for joy, for peace, for each new day and its adventures, for hope and dreams.

I know there are many more things I am grateful for, but this is a start!
I'm thankful for my sister. She's strong, loving, thoughtful, determined, talented and generous, just to name a few. I am so lucky to have her in my life.

I'm thankful for my husband. He's the most perfect husband ever! My friend, lover, companion, my inspiration, my rock, my soul mate, my life and he is the shoulder I can count on to always be there. No matter what. I love him more every day.

I'm thankful for my parents. They are awesome!! Supportive, loving, nurturing and fun. I'm going to visit them soon. I'm overdue!
I'm thankful for my awesome kids!! They are the best kids a mom could wish for!!! I'm a lucky mother, that's for sure!!
LOOK at my abundance of blessings!!! I'm truly thankful for all the wonderful people I have in my life, family and friends.
People that touch my life each day and make every moment special.
THANKYOU!!!!

-Donna

I am grateful for 18 years of Recovery from Drug addiction!
I am grateful 29 gifts got me off my ass and back into a highly excited about life phase again!
1. Today and every day I am grateful for the Life that I am blessed with, my perfect organs which the Divine has endowed me with, and another day to prove to the Divine and to myself that I can optimize my opportunities to spread love and harmony in the world in my own ways.
2. Today, I am grateful that I've got this mail which helps me share my thoughts and feelings with others.
3. The lovely mails that have come to me this morning.
4. The great breakfast which I was able to cook up fast and to my husband's liking.
5. The massage that I gave myself.
6. The time I could take for meditation.
7. The time to have access and to read an uplifting book.
8. That I have a job that I love and cool! Relaxed work atmos today!!!
9. That I am blessed with the outcomes of innumerable scientists who help improve the quality of life through various gadgets, drugs, etc. I really feel thankful to all the energy of the scieintists who have made life possible for so many of us.
10. That I have been able to send a comforting mail to a virtual friend.
Oh, the list is endless and I am so happy for the abundance of things I am thankful and appreciative for!
Lastly thank you folks for this space!!!!
Great question! Besides being grateful for the 29 Gifts movement...

I am grateful for the ability to learn, the opportunity to serve and that I trust that my life is being used as a tool in God's master plan. I am grateful for all the surprises, both good and bad, that come my way each day!
It goes with out saying but I truely am grateful for my loving family and friends and my job that allows me to share monitarily with all that I come in contact with. Life is excellent considering that we don't know what the dirt bath will bring. LOL I thought we were only going to put three but I see so many more in each of yours. So i will add them too. I also am grateful for my animals who give me so much more then they will ever know. I also am grateful for a healthy mind that continually challenges me. Also my ability to make someone less fortunate shine. I am grateful for my farm which keeps me very busy. That's it for now but I know there's so much more.
1. My husband - I am really grateful for him every day! He is a perfect match for me, so I am grateful not only for finding him but also for who he is. He is perfect at making me laugh, being a strength and just overall the best person to have by my side!

2. I'm grateful for a steady job. In this economy, I am so grateful to have work!

3. I'm grateful for fun times with friends and family.
1. I am so, so, so, so grateful for my marriage. I grew up witnessing the less than inspiring marriage of my parents and every single day I am grateful for the strong, committed, joyful, positive and supportive relationship that my husband and I share.
2. I am so grateful that I get to do work that I love. Every day I leave work with a smile on my face and joy in my heart knowing that I spent the day making the world a better place to be for children with disabilities.
3. I am grateful for all the opportunities I have to be creative. I am active with a group of women who knit, sew, bead, etc. and being around them and being creative brings a lot of joy to my life.
4. I am grateful to have my two beagles who give me unconditional love and devotion every single day. They make me laugh, cuddle up with me when I am sick or down and they get me out to walk the neighborhood making connections with others and enjoying nature.

Wow! My life is so wonderful and I am so incredibly appreciative. Thanks, Cami, for posting this thread.
