29-Day Giving Challenge

For some this may seem like a silly concern but I really need some guidance. I have always been told that you should not make public your acts of kindness toward others. I've been told that it makes it seem as though you are boasting.

Please tell me how to handle this feeling. While I want to help and give to others (which I am doing)...I just feel awkward about sharing it. I don't want others and but most importantly God to think I am doing it for the wrong reasons. Praise

Thanks for you help and guidance.

Do what you feel is best for you Ketzies Mom! Some feel the same way you do. You can keep it private if you are more comfortable that way. Please blog now and then or comment on others blogs as we enjoy you being here! Take care, be happy and blessings to you :o) Have a wonderful holiday season!
I only publish mine on here because we are all doing it for the same reason, but in my opinion if you are giving from the heart and not from the ego, you are on the right path and should not worry about what anyone else thinks. :)
Dear Ketzies Mom, over the last few years I have learned that it is important to share our acts of kindness.
Please take a look at the site www.helpothers.org
It's not about showing off or being better than anyone, it's about inspiring others. At the help others you will
find fantastic people with the most amazing stories of kindness.
Because it is anonymous you can tell the whole word what you do and inspire others, you wouldn't believe
how far your kindness can go.
You can start by sharing an act of kindness you did in the States and see it replicated in India or New Zealand
because someone was inspired by you.
I look forward to seeing your acts of kindness at helpothers.org

Well said!

Another point to consider - this is a specific 29-Day giving challenge and is intended to bring about positive change by reflecting on what you are mindfully giving each day and the resulting awareness of life's gifts for you. Whether you decide to post daily publicly or privately, we're glad you're here! Enjoy the experience.

Happy Giving!

Mary
