I met 29 Gifter, Marjorie Perry, in Atlanta. She came to several of our Atlanta Live Events. Like me, Marjorie has MS, but MS does not have her. She and her family owns a climbing gym in Atlanta. Though her MS has progressed and she can't cycle anymore Marjorie stays active her community and her MS Bike team has raised more than $250,000 for the National MS Society to date. Right now, 29Gifts.org is lending our support to Marjorie's MS Bike Team -- to raise $40,000 in the Atlanta MS Bike event September 17-18. Give What YOU Can and help team Marj@Large reach their goal!
Here is a fun shot of me and Marjorie taken at our Atlanta Tea Party in June 2011. I was so impressed with her spunk! The entire bike team is doing the 29 Gifts Challenge right now, during the 29 days leading up to their race. 29 Gifts has an MS Walk Team, but we don't have an MS Bike team. I really wanted to encourage our community to give to a strong MS Bike Team -- enter TeamMarj@Large. Please give What YOU Can and help team Marj@Large reach their goal!
ABOUT TeamMarj@Large: We are a cycling team of all skill levels dedicated to enjoying the sport of cycling while bringing awareness to the cause and fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Many teammates meet for regular training rides and organized rides throughout the year as we prepare for our focal ride: The Bike MS Cox Atlanta Ride out of Callaway Gardens in September.
