Prayer Request for my Grandma

Hi Cami - I will add her name to my book of prayers and keep her in my thoughts. I've lost both of my grandmothers, and think of them every day -- both were powerful and amazing women who lived through some amazing challenges, bringing our family into focus.

Just a quick update for everyone. My grandma is feeling much better. She's recovering at home. I can't wait to see her next week and plan to cook up a few soups for her and freeze single size servings so she has some nourishment to help get her strength up. thanks so much for all your prayers.

I think those single-serving soups you're making are going to be like little bits of love she can pull out and nourish herself with - body and soul.

I just now read this about your grandmother. I am so sorry to hear this - I know how close you are to her. But I'm happy she's feeling better and I'm glad you're going to spend time with her. She sounds like a very special woman. I will keep you both in my prayers.

Chin up, Cami! Old Nebraska girls don't give in that easily -- they're way too stubborn. She'll wait until she's dang good and ready. I'm sure she'll love that you came to help her out and she'll brag to her friends how her busy granddaughter came all the way from LA just to see her, so you've already given her a great boost! I'll put her in my prayers, as well, but your visit did much good, I'm sure.
