Some New Things I have Found I Can Give.
There is a charity that is asking for 8 inch knitted squares. These are sent to Africa to help the little children who are either orphaned or abandoned because of the AIDS epidemic. Their are millions of these little children. Many have to live on the streets and are exposed to all types of freezing cold weather. The charity is called 'KasCare'. I am trying to make a square a day to send.

I just learned how to knit have been knitting scarves for the homeless and hoping to have many knitted before the next holiday season. I am interested in the knitting squares for Africa. can you send me more info.

Yes, all you have to do is look at the website for KasCare. On there you will find lots of information about the knitting of the squares for the aids orphans. They want squares 8 inches by 8 inches and then they sew them together to make blankets for the children. www.knit-a-square.com. If you have any problems please do let me know and I will try to help.
