29-Day Giving Challenge

So has anyone read The Shack? I just finished it and being in the middle of my first round of 29 gifts found it fit in really well to the transformation that seems to be taking place inside me. I encourage everyone to seek it out and pick it up. If it is the right time for you to read it, it will find your heart. I walked into a bookstore and said a quick prayer "If this is the right time for me to read this bring me to it" and I literally walked straight to a shelf, did not see it, said "oh well", turned around and was staring at it. There is magic in its pages just like there is magic in this giving challenge.

The publisher is calling the word-of-mouth promotion they are encouraging "The Missy Project" hence the subject of this discussion. I am going to be passing on copies of this book to a few people in my life. If you find it, I hope you enjoy it.

Happy Giving!
Patty

I haven't read the book yet, but I did have the opportunity to hear the author speak at a luncheon. My workplace had a few extra tickets to a benefit where he was the featured speaker. He was very motivational and a great to listen to. The way his book came about was amazing. It is on my "to read" list.
Oh how cool - I would loooooove to hear the author. Thanks for sharing!
Loved this book! It really touched me in such a deep level. truely an amazing book!
Amazing book! I read it about 1 yr. ago and bought several copies to give away. It is a must read for everyone!
Just finished reading this book.....excellent!!! I had checked it out from the library, but halfway through I decided that it was a must for me to have my own copy to read again, reference and highlight parts. I went to the discount bookstore and got myself a copy and picked up 6 other copies to give as gifts. I highly recommend this book. Cami's book (as well as this site) had already made such a positive impact on my life, and now after reading this book my life will never be the same. I can't wait to share it with others and to read it again.
The Shack is a wonderful book, and was a gift to me from a friend. It is certainly a must read for anybody trying to find their spiritual anchor and direction. An avid reader, I have often walked into the bookstore and asked that the right book for me be there. In a magical way, the Divine always seems to point me in the right direction for what I need at that moment.
i read it last spring and it just blew my mind. it gave me a whole new perspective on God and why things happen the way they do. a friend gave it to me and i in turn passed it on to my step mom and a friend. glad to hear that you enjoyed it as much as i did. although "enjoyed" seems like a totally inadequate word when i think about it. Hugs, Dawn
What type of book is it? Fiction or nonfiction?
This is on my list, too, I think after someone talked about it in the 29Gifts Book Club group. If you guys aren't members of that group, check it out:

who is the author?
I read this book over the summer and just gave it to a friend at work who is going through a divorce and needs a little "magic" in her life. I can't wait to find out if she enjoyed it.
Oh my gosh I read this book last year and it changed my life! I tell everyone about this book it made me smile, laugh and cry. This book inspired me to seek out a better relationship with my own personal god! and its been a wonderful work in progress I want to read it again and again but seeing how it has passed its way around our friends and family I think its best to keep on giving, maybe it will find its way back when I least expect it. I have heard others talking about it to and it is an instant convo starter with anyone around! I was talking with some random girl about it in the gym locker room! what a way to meet new people!
