What happens when I've completed my 29 days of giving?
When you've completed you first 29 days, our hope is you'll feel so inspired by the changes you see in your thinking and your life, that you'll continue to give mindfully each day. You're welcome to stick around our community as long as you want to. Many givers have been here for multiple 29-day cycles.
We're in need of a few new volunteers.
You're welcome to join us as a volunteer after you've completed your first 29-day cycle. We always need people who are willing to commit to help welcome new givers, comment on blog posts, spread the word online, help us organize our community events and fund raisers.
If you're interested in volunteering, contact Erin, our online community manager at erin@29Gifts.org and tell her a bit about yourself, your skills and why you'd like to be a 29Gifts volunteer.

People often tell me they are through with the challenge and need to cancel their membership, and I encourage them to:
" leave your account open and drop in on us whenever you can!"
We all need a community that will accept us unconditionally, not just when we are blogging!
So don't stay gone long, take a break if you must, and we will be here when you come back.
If you were participating for 29 days, you may see that you are more mindful of your giving and benevolence after this exercise/challenge.
My experience is that I get out what I put into it, I usually get back more than I put in, but it's different for everyone.
If you need another assignment, we can give you one, like Cami said, join the volunteer team!
We have enough members now to use more and more volunteers!
If you need any other direction please feel free to ask!
I'm on a few times a day, they can't get rid of me!

Good points. Another important reason NOT to close your account when you're "done" is if you leave our network and delete your profiles, we can't count you toward our 29,000 giver goal because we have no longer have any record of your participation in our tracking system. You can always leave your account open and turn off email from the site. Instructions on how to turn off email from the site are here.

You are so right on that! I did MySpace for a while & it just left me feeling very empty & time wasteful.
If we are gonna be addicted to something, at least it's something worthwhile!!!!!
