29-Day Giving Challenge

What have you learned about yourself from this challenge?

I am curious about what you have learned about yourself, and new insights? Or old ones revived?

Amazing the more you give, the more you will find you are on the receiving end of so many kindnesses. Isn't that beautiful? The selfish people ARE the minority...
That it is more fun thinking about what wicked wheezes I can do for others rather than the incessant noise in my head about me.
I have learned that giving begets giving; one idea leads to another and people want to participate in giving activities. The attitude of gratitude by itself isn't all there is to it. It's important, but action and appreciation of the blessings I have, together complete the joyfulness of each day. Abundance exists everywhere, not scarcity or need for competition to get my share. Living life is so much bigger!
I have learned that I recieve much more than I give.
Over and over I have to tried to give more, and could never catch up to the amount of receiving coming in!
I have learned to do without, and give away what I just knew I could NEVER let go of!
I have learned to get outside my comfort zone and give more of myself than I knew I had in me!
I have learned I have more friends than I could have ever dreamed possible.
I have learned that I can continue my spiritual journey and truly become the lady I desire to be.
I have learned that NOTHING is impossible, if I can dream it and want it bad enough, I can create it into reality!
I have learned to receive the blessings gracefully. Albeit, through tears.

I have learned:
*the best way to solve my own problems is to help someone else.
*being of service to another person makes me feel good about myself.
*no matter how bad things seem like they are for me with my health or other challenging areas of my life, I have so much to be grateful for.
*focusing on what I have to offer others attracts more abundance into my life
The link between giving and receiving has been highlighted more clearly.
Giving doesn't have to be big/expensive/difficult/time consuming or expensive
I can make a difference and that I am important

TO KEEP SHOWING LOVE AND LET MY LIGHT SHINE AND LIFT UP JESUS
I have learned that it makes me feel better about myself if I give to others. I brought my husband some yoghurt, thinking he would like it because he needs more calcium, and he said he didn't like that kind. Usually, I get defensive, but now I thought, well, that's his decision. He's a big boy, and if he doesn't want it, I like the kind I bought, so I'll eat it myself! Now, this might not sound like a big deal, but it's a big change in attitude for me. Instead of arguing with him, I just let it go. It made me feel better, realizing I was acting more generous because I wasn't forcing him to accept my gift.
Kim, great topic!
I learned:
* that making giving a daily habit wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be
* that giving to someone you don't like will help mend the rift between you (I "knew" this but hadn't experienced it)
* to trust myself a bit more, and be easier on myself
* to not feel guilty when I give to myself or my family
* that the gives that you didn't want to give cause you to grow the most
* to give without feeling self-conscious
* to receive graciously without feeling embarrassed or obligated
* to grow in gratitude for what I have been given
Today I learned that I need a balance of giving and receiving each day to feel at peace.
That is the truth, balance is necessary in all things.
