Would you like to share what your favorite part of this 29 day Giving Challenge is?

I think it would be inspirational to lots of folks (me included) to hear what everyone enjoys most or has gotten from this challenge.

What wisdom have you absorbed what new ideas have you learned or what habits have you changes or started because of this challenge?

Please feel free to use this place to share your favorite part.

Just to get us started:
My favorite thing about this website is watching someone’s small gives turn into life changing movements.
• The Teddy Bears and Classes for the African women have taken on a life of their own. It is amazing to think how many people will be helped and given training, love, strength and hope from those small mentions in some blogs! Wow to me that is so exciting.
• To see how starting this Challenge has changed Cami and then all of us who have been touched by it! Wow! I am just in awe of how small things, make such big changes when we all pull together to make a difference.

Wonderful Discussion topic. Thanks so much for starting it. I hope a bunch of people respond because I'd really like to hear the answers!

My favorite part of the challenge is to witness all of the wonderful human connections that happen through the process. I love reading the stories of people experiencing deeper, more intimate relationships with others through their acts of kindness. I love reading about the psychic shifts that happen for people as their thinking becomes more positive. Sometimes the shifts are very dramatic, but more often they are touchingly subtle but still incredibly profound.

For me, I think my favorite personal give so far is when I gave a drug addict on the street a hit of iced tea. I think it would be awesome if each person who posts on this string could include a link to their favorite personal give or just quickly tell us the story in a paragraph or two right here.
My favorite thing about the 29 day giving challenge is reading others blogs and getting inspired by them. I love the ah ha moment that happens when I read something that is such a great idea and i say to myself "i could do that". it is so great get so many ideas on giving. there is so much creative energy flowing on this website it is hard not to get caught up in it.
I also love the reaction i get from the people I am giving to. that is worth every bit of the give.
My favorite part of the challenge is having a voice. I am surprised that I enjoy the blogging so much. I had never blogged before the challenge. I have never even kept a journal on a consistent basis, the community here is so supportive and heard me, and answered me. I enjoy the friends that I have been making in this community. I enjoy watching them change as they continue in the challenge.

I started the challenge while I was at home alone. My husband was in the Pacific Northwest looking for work. I needed to step out of myself and find something to do. There is no money for pampering me, that is what I wanted but I found the challenge. I had a purpose outside of myself.

My favorite day of the challenge was when my husband came home. I had made sure that Kathy was part of the homecoming. She really missed Grandpa. Now before the challenge, I would have made it all about me with my husband, but the homecoming was so much better sharing the day with Kathy.

I reread my blogs to find my favorite give. That is a really hard question. I have loved it all. But the give I felt most connected with the community was the Gratitude Cards. It gave me a sense of belonging to something bigger than me while I was working on the cards and handing them out.

I have become calmer, and more appreciating of the beauty surrounding me. I am more aware.
My favorite part of the 29 Day Giving Challenge is the many, many DIFFERENT ways people can give. I loe the way it opens my eyes to see opportunities and to share the act of giving that others are doing.

I love feeling connected to the community.
What great views, isn't it wonderful how we all get exactly what we need from this challenage? I love all the things you guys have listed. Let's keep it moving.
Favourite part? There isn't one, there are so many :)

This wonderful community is such an inspriation with so many fantastic ideas on how people from all over the world are giving to others, and to themselves.

So often, I find it is the first step that is the hardest (particularly with that little voice talking all the time, you know the one) and relying ONLY on my own ideas can be limiting, so have so many ideas shared opens up the possibilities for ideas on giving.

Also, this challenge is a demonstration of how simple giving can be, and how the small gifts can often have the biggest impact.

One of the ways I have changed since starting this challenge is to see more positive possibilities in the owrld cause there are so many other people who share my sense of wonder and joy in beign part of this global community. I have limited my time in front of hte mass media and my imediate family because of the negative pall that surrounds them both. Sure the world is not a perfect place, but fo crying out loud, let's do something about it instead of monaing about it .

The 29Gifts is, in my mind, doing something about it - by spreading words of hope and happiness I can make a difference, by accepting I cannot change everything, and sharing in this wonderful community where everyone else is doing the same.

Thanks Trisha for starting this discussion. It a great opportunity for us to relfect on where we are going, individually and as a community.

My favorite part of this challenge is two-fold. It is the feeling of complete joy when you see how you just made difference in someone's day from your give. It is also the connections I've made. I have new friends all over this country, in Europe and even Australia. I have this world of support and "yay you" cheerleaders when I need it most. It is an amazing group of people with interests in common with mine. Its feeling like you're part of this community that stretches out all around and is all for the good.
Erin I had one of those yesterday!! I love that too!
Thanks to all of you for sharing on this topic. It really makes me smile to read these comments!
Wow ...What isn't to like about this!

I love reading other's stories of giving.

I love what its done to make my giving more concious.

I love how each act ripples out and touches so many lives.

I love the sense of being part of an important movement.

I love how it gives me power through confidence, and connection.

Thank you all!
Such wonderful entries! I love reading how this chalenge means different things to different people!
So is there not any others that have favorite things about this challange?
