29-Day Giving Challenge

For all members of the Artist Group on 29-Day Giving Challenge here is our plan:

Take a look on the main page at "Kindness Rocks!" - it is a great, simple and artistic way to share the joy of giving and of kindness.

Let's all, as a group, create one (or more) of these Kindness Rocks.

Then on October 19, 2008 we will give them away. Any time, all day.

And then come and Blog about it here or on your personal page!

Let's do it!!

Who can do the BIGGEST ROCK or the most rocks in the community? Make them travel with a note that says "This is a traveling kindness rock. Keep this rock for an hour and then pass it along to someone else to make their day with this note. Kindness - pass it on!" On the back of the rock I write our website KindestCity.com but you could write yours or this one.

Artist's Rock!
Thanks so MUCH Lisa!!! These are great ideas!! I can't wait to see and hear about all the different ways we can do this.

And, if each of us just does ONE rock, it's not overwhelming to add to our lives!
AWESOME!! I love this idea. Here's a link to the discussion string about kindness rocks. Everyone -- please make sure and take a photo of your rock before you give it away and post it in the public image gallery. If you need help posting photos in the gallery, go here.
I can't wait to do this. how fun!!
Hi Cindy... I think you should post about this big give on the main forum so we can get even more people to do it on 10/19
I'm trying to get a picture uploaded so I can. I tried, but it wouldn't let me post without a picture.
I've listed this as An Event on our Main Page now - so if you get a chance, click on Events, go to Artists Rock - Big Give! and respond with an RSVP and join us!!
looking forward to the "kindness rocks" with my kiddos, will be a fun project...I am envisioning our adventure will lead us out after dark & leave them on our neighbors doorsteps ;) xo!!
Izabella - that's an EXCELLENT idea!!!
I've chosen three rocks to decorate - one I'm covering in white gesso to give myself a "blank slate' to start with! The other two are very beautifully hued, so I will keep them "natural" -- this is fun!

I'm also printing up some 29-Day Giving Challenge notes (you can find them here) to include. Not sure how I'm going to attach them yet.
Boy - I'm having trouble making the pictures show up here in the group, but I was able to upload to my page.

*sigh*

However, it was fun to decorate and leave them around!! I left one at the gas station, one in the grocery store and one on a neighbor's mailbox!!!

I also put the www.29gifts.org website on the bottom!
