Comment by Dawn wwt on May 29, 2013 at 6:28pm thank you for the recommendations, Firefighterlady. i loved The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, i will have to read "And The Mountains Echoed".
i am currently reading "The Lizard Cage" by Karen Connelly. it is about a political prisoner in Burma/Myanmar...it will keep you on the edge of your seat and break your heart as well. it's the best book i've read in a while. Hugs, Dawn XOXO
Hello, I am a new member to the group. I am currently reading "And the Mountains Echoed" by Khaled Hosseini, "The Other Typist" by Suzanne Rindell, "One Amazing Thing" by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, and "Kind of Kin" by Rilla Askew. I also have "The Letters of Willa Cather" stashed away to browse through.
Thanks for the recommendations.
I have read some things by Louise Hay; it can help a person's frame of mind
Any book by SARK or Louise Hay are always wonderful and I recommend to everyone! Inspiring, uplifting and fun. Also, The Creative License by Danny Gregory is fabulous!
One of my favorite books is Balcony People. It is a small book. Great rad...
It's nice to hear everyone's current reads and recommendations.
I recently read Lone Wolf by Jodi Piccoult; I love all her books; they draw me in and keep me reading. In this one there is a brother and sister with opposite ideas about what to do about their father after he is in an accident and doctors say he will most likely never wake up.
Now I have moved onto a book called "Flirting with Pete" which I am enjoying so far
Comment by GloriaHass on March 22, 2013 at 6:57am I'm currently listening to Writ of Execution by Perri O'Shaugnessy. I only listen to audio books. It's okay - I've read better books by this author (it's really 2 sisters writing under one pen name). I do enjoy books by Clive Cussler.
