Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde

I just finished reading Shades of Grey. Jasper Fforde writes fantasy that is so well done you feel like you are there living and breathing the story. This is the first in his new series.

It is about a world where people can only see one color. For some, that color is grey. The higher your color on the color scale, the more power you have. The better you see in your color raises your power as well. Eddie Russett and Jane Grey realize that the rules, and there are many of them to be followed, are not necessarily in place for the benefit of the people, but for the misguided protection of the collective.

I highly recommend this novel. If you are a fan of really good writing check out the book even if you are not a huge fan of fantasy.
