Hi, flowerpower- i read the book a couple of years ago and i thought it was excellent. i also saw the movie and i was impressed with how well it was done. i hesitate to say that i 'enjoyed' either of them because of the subject matter which as you know is disturbing.

i can't say that the book was actually life changing but it did make me do a lot of thinking. it is not exactly simple but it is very good and it has a satisfying ending which was very important to me (i can't stand to be left wondering lol). i hope this helps you. Hugs, Dawn

It did help, because I had checked on goodreads.com and I had gotten a variey of view of the book. I will actually give it a try :)

I read the book first and I couldn't put it down!  It was amazing to me and a very good read!  I thought the book was definitely better then the movie.  (that usually is the way it is)  I would definitely reccommend this book.
