Sherrie33 suggested Jars in July:
Fill empty jars with something someone needs. Then decorate them and give them away. Make them personal or make them random.
Need Ideas? How about nuts, chex party mix, homemade croutons, cookies, birdseed, pet treats, buttons, potpourri, quotes, shells, things you like about the person, jokes, .....
Speaking of jokes, I'd like to add a Jokes in July challenge, as well. Make someone laugh with a great joke - the sillier the better.

Permalink Reply by Dawn wwt on July 29, 2010 at 7:05am I love this idea! I would also like to bring up an idea shared by Mythica a few months ago for wonderful gift containers.

I have made these gift containers and filled them with healthy low calorie snacks for my TOPS friends.
Another idea for a really meaningful gift, especially for an older family member or friend is to make a memory jar: Just have the whole family (or group of friends, etc.) write down special memories they have shared with the intended receiver and put them in a decorative jar. My sons did this for both their grandmothers several years ago and both of them cherished this gift throughout the remainder of their lives.
