29-Day Giving Challenge

Well, we're over half-way through May and haven't posted a challenge for the month yet.  Guess that'll make this month an EXTRA challenge for you since you have just over two weeks to meet it.

A Challenge for May:

MAKE SPACE IN MAY

The idea is to find a way to clear out some "stuff" from your living space, make more space for yourself, and give some extra/unneeded things away to others

Sounds like a plan Genuine! It happens to be clean up week here so that will help too~ Thanks for the reminder!
I made space in my jewlery box tonight, I took a bracelet out, wore it to a meeting. I said the 1st person who admires it, I will give it to, and did!

fun give!
I've heard other people share about giving away the jewlrey they're wearing ... maybe I'll try that one some day
Hmmm ... I may be a little backwards this month ... seems I'm collecting more things instead of clearing things out. : )

We had a City Clean-up Day here yesterday and people could bring in stuff they wanted to get rid of. I did take in a few things (and then today noticed a few more things I should have taken). But I also got a couple phone calls from others who said "we're going through our garage/shed for City Clean-up and we're wondering if you want _________." So I got a few new things ... but hey, they said I was really doing them a favor by taking this stuff off their hands. I was helping them make space ...
Makes me giggle genuine!
I think that everyone should go through their clothes that they may have been saving and hoping to someday fit back into and dontate them. The Red Cross or women's shelter would be a great idea. We had a fire in January and our local shleter provided us with TONS of food and clothing if we needed it. I think i may do that tomorrow. :)
it's great that you're now able to give to something that helped you out before
Welcome Sue. Nice idea about Red Cross. I finally decided last week to get rid of clothes that don't fit anymore.

My car is loaded and ready for a local thrift store that benefits veterans. Yay, I met this month's challenge and didn't even know it.
I gave away more fabric we could not use for teddy bears or quilting today, and the ywo ladies that are taking it are bringing me back stuff they cannot use, but I can use for teddy bears! They also wan to join in on Thursday nights to make bears! I also gave away some clothes twice this week, however in making room, the universe's vaccum was activated and the new puppy was added to the household!
WOO HOO - another four boxes and bags of stuff to Amvets thrift store yesterday. Two of my nieces were in town for Mother's Day and I gave them several pieces of jewelry I knew they would like. Thanks for that idea, Sharon.
