Well in 8 hrs I'll start my last day of work. I'm going to work armed with a box of puffs. When I moved here to be with my husband (we were dating at the time) I didn't know anyone but him here in town. 8 years later and now I'm moving on to a new chapter in life and leaving all my family, friends & co-workers behind is killing me. I finally found out today on the new job. I got the final offer and they wound offering me a total of $1,300 more a year than the original offer which is still more than $4 more an hour than I'm making now. Finally it seems that things might be headed in the right direction again. If nothing else it's an improvement over the last few months. I'm not dead just really busy. I thought I'd take a moment to update everyone on what is going on in our hectic life.
I FINALLY got over the stomach bug...only took me 25 days! I never want to go through that again. I got a call from the Alamo Heights PD in San Antonio and I went down there Friday and had my job interview. It wound up lasting 2 hrs and they made the decision right there to hire me.
