Why I'm choosing to give:
I want to make a difference to peoples lives..if enough people take the challange the world would be a different place..as they say..from an Acorn grows a mighty Oak tree..got to start some where:)
What I'd most like to receive:
What ever opportunities the universe brings my way...big or small..I will cherish all...

30th Sept hi everyone...

Well dispite my best intentions.in keeping up my blog on here..fate was conspiring against me last week..I carried on giving daily..doing various things..some big some small...however..I had quite the worst week in a very long time. My mum had a small stroke last Tuesday and on Friday night just as the family are recovering from that we had an emergency situation where the fuse box was smouldering..wires burnt through etc and we had to dial the fire brigade..lost all power to the house… Continue

Day 5 ...23 Sept

Posted on September 23, 2008 at 1:54pm 2 Comments

My down stairs neighbour has moved from S Africa leaving her husband..friends and family to establish a new life over here...her husband couldn't come at first as he is receiving treatment for a brain tumour..he is progressing slowly..if and when he is well enough he will be selling the house and coming to the UK to join his wife... She works hard and hardly knows anybody or understands the English way of life..but was driven to live abroad by the increasing violence and injustice in… Continue

Today's giving was for my son...he is 9 and although we live close enough to school...to walk there and back..due to various health problems that I suffer with...we almost always go in the car...he has been asking me for ages if we could start walking instead...

We made a pact at the weekend that were possible...we would start walking to school..todaywas day 1...he was made up..we left early to give ourselves plenty of time....weather was lovely..blue skies...dropped him off at the… Continue

Day 3 Sunday 21Sept

I'm a firm believer that in order to help others you have to be in the right "place" yourself...so as selfish as it first sounds (which after i reflected on it...it isn't ! ) I choose to give myself the day off..not only from domestics etc...uni work..of which I have lots..exams looming soon!...but also from the guilt that comes from such a decsion...

I spent the day..just chilling out..listening to music...playing games on the pc...mooching/browsing round the shops at my… Continue

Day 2 Sat 20th September...

Posted on September 22, 2008 at 11:47am 0 Comments

Actually doing the giving etc i have found isn't the hard part..the hard part is making the time to write up my blog daily...yikes...I will try to keep on top of it from now on ...Todays giving involved spending some time out for a meal with a friend and then having them back to mine for a chat afterwards...

Taking the time to listen as they unburdened their upset and stresses....They lost their partner a year ago in an accident..My friend went away to their favourite holiday place… Continue

I agree this is just what i needed! what a great site bringing such wonderfully different people together for the common goal of giving. I was visited Englend back in 1988 and i loved it. it was a graduation present. what a fun time.
