Today's small gifts - Salvation army bucket, letting as many cars as I reasonably could pull out in front of me in lines, and choosing to leave a store without purchasing anything rather than getting irritated at the slow service and rude employees. Yes, that last one counts as a give, because I did it with a good attitude! Small things today, but boy, they made a difference in how I felt about what could have been a miserable, stressful day.

Today I made a donation to Uncovered Theatre - a start-up theatre company in Chicago made up of recent Regent alumni. They're an incredibly talented group of artists who are writing, directing, producing and performing in their own material. They're brave and hungry and innovative, and I was proud to offer them a little bit of support. The world needs more artists like them, and I'm proud to know them!

Today I fed snacks to my daughter's playdate and my landlord's daughter. Fortunately I'd just gone to the store or there wouldn't have been anything to offer them! I also allowed my son to buy extra boards for breaking class at Tae Kwon Do. Little gives, but I said I'd keep track! I also finished my play and turned it in, so I am officially on Christmas break from school! Yay!
