Since I started to read the book 29 gifts, I have had this gift in my mind:
Calling my Mother.

This was a busy and really fun day. I was going to meet a very wise aquaintence: Marita, for morning coffee. She lives in Hongkong but is back in Stockholm för a couple of days. We are not really friends yet. Two of our kids have been in the same class in the past and we tend to bump in to one another at social gaterings. But since she moved to the other side of this planet, our friendship, through Facebook, has grown. Funny, isn´t it.

First of all: it feels quite nice to be writing on this Forum. I do not think anybody I know is in here (yet). So I can be totally honest with you. Or totally, that is a BIG word. Am I even totally honset with myself? Tricky one, that.

Oh what a wonderful day this has been, and it is not over yet. Tuesdays I havent got any classes so I try to catch up on all "bad consiouses" that lays around. By nine oclock I was already finisched whith what I intended. I went to get a facial. Sweet luxury! There I bought a wonderful scented candle that I wanted to give to my lunchdate as the gift of the day. Dear Annaf,
try not to let your husband's nasty comments bring you down. there are many, many ways to give that don't require money (hover your mouse over 'forum' at the top of the page and click on 'giving ideas', there are a lot of ideas to get you started.
maybe once he sees that you're not planning to give away massive amounts of cash, your husband will be more open to the idea. or not. his money, indeed. let him hire someone to do all you do taking care of the house and kids and see what that costs.
from time to time i have to take a day to go through the stacks of paperwork that accumulate around my house and believe me, it's a gift not only to me but to everyone. not only is the house neater, but when the time comes that you need an important paper you know where it is. have a great day!
