Day 16...February

I started this back in December but did not keep up...i was determined, however...sometimes it's not easy finding something to give or help out with...but knowing that love and time are the greatest gifts, i am sure to give those away on a daily basis...i started this blog to help ease the pain of my broken marriage...i found myself crying and distraught...my husband loved me one day and despised me the next...i couldn't handle being treated that way anymore and although i prayed and hoped, God…See More

Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
because all i focus on is what my husband doesn't do for me...he does not make an effort to have conversation with me, i can only talk to him on limited topics or else he will hang up on me and not speak to me for a day or so...also, i cannot ask him for financial help...and he does not allow me to make future plans with him...so it seems i am always crying...even now i want to cry
What I'd most like to receive:
a kind, loving, thoughtful and caring partner....and to be paid for the patents my professor and I worked on for two years...that was a couple of months ago...and how things have changed....
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
i picked up a book at Barnes and Nobles and it was Cami's story
About me:
I am 38 years old with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Day TWO

I didn't want to get out of bed today but then i thought how unproductive it was. I took my youngest son and my nephew to the movies...it was 75 cent monday...then we went to the grocery store and i was beginning to feel sad when i was at the checkout...then i said "no"...instead, i helped the elderly lady in front of me with her groceries...placing them on the conveyor belt...and i helped the one behind me...then out in the parking lot, i returned a shopping cart for this lady so she wouldn't… Continue

Day ONE

Posted on December 20, 2009 at 3:58pm 2 Comments

This morning i almost started to focus on my husband's attitude but remembered that I had joined this group and I was to only think about giving. I helped my 8 year old son pour milk into his cereal. This is something i seldom do. I made my sister an omelette for breakfast although i had already eaten breakfast. I encouraged my sister to walk with me for 4 miles. I left my cellphone at home. When we returned, i noticed my son had called. That was a blessing because he hardly ever calls me by… Continue
