- I am an English teacher at a middle school in a suburb of Los Angeles. I hate wasabi but love sushi. I want to learn to play the guitar. I have a funny cluster of freckles on my cheek that look like an anchor. I love my family and friends, but wish some of them lived closer.

My boyfriend and I were heading up north to visit his family for the holiday. I spent the majority of the morning running around, trying to get all of our errands done before leaving for the weekend. While I was at CVS, I was asked to donate money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and I did. Although we do not have much money, this small monitary donation felt like the right thing to do. The dollar amount of the donation was added to the amount I spend and I happily swiped my credit card.… Continue

Day 2, Shirtless
Today I gave very happily...
I took a paperbag full of non-perishable goods to the local fire station, which is a drop off location that helps support the LA Regional Food Bank (http://www.lafightshunger.org). But, as I arrived at the fire station, there was no one to be found. I waited outside for a few minutes before ringing the doorbell to the station. Day 1
Today I cooked dinner for my roommate and boyfriend and then I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. Typically in our house the rule is that "the cook doesn't clean"-- I figured that since I have the week off for Thanksgiving, I would go to the market, cook dinner and clean up. They both work very hard and deserve a nice relaxing evening without having to clean up my mess. They seemed to enjoy dinner and were even happier not to have to do dishes.
