Today was the first day of my giving challenge. I decided to give my first gift to my mom. My idea was to give her some love and spend some time with her. We made arrangements last night to get together today.When we spoke this morning, we decided to get together after my son's nap. That left me a couple hours to get some things done around the house. - Why I'm choosing to give:
- I am choosing to give because Cami's story is inspiring to me. I think it's a great idea to spread positivity into the universe and if I can do something to add to that, then I am all for it. I have always believed that what you put out there comes back to you.
I am fortunate in that I have my basic needs met. I believe that I we can benefit from being reminded how blessed we are and how reaching out to someone, no matter how small the gift could mean the world to the receiver. So why not take a chance and try it!
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I would like to receive the benefit of knowing that I have done something that may have touched someone's life. I would like the receive the positive energy that Cami speaks of, and have it build up as I continue the challenge. I would like to feel that I have made a difference.

I stayed up late last night (after 12 am) preparing some pictures of a friends children for her Christmas card. I have had a lot to do and so it has been pushed off for too long. I figured, I could get the pictures touched up and make a mock card so she could place her order. She has been anxious to get her cards out and was almost going to take some pictures herself. Well today was quite busy for me, tying up loose ends for the year. My husband has been after me lately to get some paperwork things accomplished. I have been putting it off and putting it off.....and putting it off some more. It had actually gotten to the point where it would sit in the back of my mind and make me feel anxious. I took the pictures of the blue indigo on the steps, but the picture of the bird in the tree is from a picture I found online. My husband took the sunset pictures.
