- Why I'm choosing to give:
- I read the book, think it is an amazing idea and am telling all my friends. I often think of giving even just little things, but this challenge and commitment will help keep me focused. So many people have given me so much i want to give a little back.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- The gift i would like to recieve is not one that anyone else can give me, but that of self-confidence, especially in relationships. Perhaps through this 29 gifts, I will be better able to see me for who i really am. I have accomplished a lot in my life, but don't see myself as others see me.

- Have been a single mother of two (18 and 14) for over 11 years. Six years ago I went back to school when i was downsized for the second time, and now teach French in the public school system to 12 and 13 year olds.

its a week before Christmas, a day after i joined the 50+ club, and the beginning of a new year and perhaps a new phase in my life. Being positive, giving to others and trying to be less obsessed with my own life is a good place to start. Why does it seems so hard? i seem to have lost myself in the last few years, and somehow need to find the caring and thoughtful person i once was.
