29!!! Pretty Paper

Wow, day 29 came soooo fast! It has been a challenge but has been a fun and rewarding challenge.My gift for day 29 was to make appointment cards for my hairstylist. She always uses post it notes for our appointments. They work fine but I thought it would be fun to make her some pretty ones. I found a bunch of pretty paper to match her salon colors and got crafty. They turned out really cute! Why I'm choosing to give:: I think I am being selfish....I am looking for a way (or multiple ways) to help myself feel more like my own person; to be more confident, happy and fun-loving. I think it's awesome that I may be able to accomplish this through thoughtfully giving to others. Looking forward to the challenge!

What I'd most like to receive:: A free spirit, the ability to be more outgoing and to attain closer relationships!! Smiles and belly laughs would be a super bonus!!

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: I bought and read the book.

About me:: Me? Still a work in progress I guess. I am always learning something new which has come in both easy and hard forms. I love collecting books and fabric -- usually I get to read but making fabric projects has been low on the priorities lately. I enjoy taking Irish Step Dancing classes. My family is great. I have two awesome boys, a supportive, rock-star-in-my-eyes husband, a fabulous dog whom I have learned a lot from and wonderful friends and family.

28. Special Dinner Order #2

Today, my gift was making a special order dinner for my eldest son. His order was coconut shrimp, pina colada dipping sauce, brown rice and pineapple (I made some green veggies too -- add some vitamins and color you know). It was a lovely dinner choice, he's acquiring great taste. Here's to you little man!!

Day 27, we are going to a family gathering and sadly my sis-in-law is unable to make it because she has to work second shift at the local Hospice House. I decided to send her a little cheer by ordering a Sub sandwich, chips and a cookie-- all to be delivered to her at work as a lovely surprise. Last night at around 1:00am I was awak, lying in bed thinking (why, I don't know) but I had a great idea for a gift for today....yay....but when I woke up for "real" in the morning I couldn't remember what my idea was.
