Wrapping up round 1

This is the end of my first 29-day challenge. I've ended on what I think is a special note. I'd rather keep the details private, but I believe the gifts will really bear fruit. Tomorrow I begin round 2 of the 29-day giving challenge. Already thinking about what day 1 will entail. I hope I can really tickle someone, and make their day, as I've seen so many of you on here do. Namaste.

That was a beautiful thing to do Johnna, although I'm sure it was tough to do since it must have been an unwelcome reminder of what you went through. One of my best friends lost her son a little more than a year ago. There are no words to…

Penultimate day for cycle 1

So, this is the 28th day. Wow. However, giving today didn't really go as planned. I had several gifts up my sleeve but my day sort of got in the way. I never got a break at work to do any gift runs and as soon as I got home I was sucked into homework help. Rather than moan about it (which yes, I might have done otherwise), I sat down and spent several hours helping my daughter who was struggling with correcting a French assignment. This wasn't the gift I envisioned, but I think it was a gift in…See More

I'm sure your giving nature will be rewarded, and that your family will emerge stronger from this tough time. That's my hope and prayer.

Great stuff. Hope the man got his watch back. You may never know, but you certainly did everything you could.

How time flies when you are having fun giving

15 days since my last blog. I was traveling and for once did not take my laptop with me. (That was a kind of gift to myself, I guess. :) I also did not check my blackberry very often. Was so nice to be 'unavailable', technologically speaking.) But I did take a giving spirit, and while the days kind of blurred together, I did give everyday. Some of the highlights were being in a grocery store the day before Christmas to pick up last minute groceries for the holiday feast and putting a few…See More

Blue..... Loved the snow story and I too did the 108 Sun Salutations today in honor of the changing season. Thank you for the reminder that the intention, love and energy directed to loved ones is a gift. Namaste' ~ Barbara

Loved your snow movie , and I think doing 109 sun salutations is a big give to the world. You have inspired me - I think my next round I will try to do a non-cash gift each day. Thanks for the idea.

Giving that doesn't cost dollars and cents

Yesterday I was at home with a bad cold and really could not go out to do very much, which would have included giving to someone in need, had I been able to venture out, so I had to come up with something to do from here.We had a huge dump of snow and my husband went out to play with my daughter while I took a nap. No sooner had I fallen into a deep sleep then my daughter came back in and asked me to come out and take pictures. That gave me an idea, I could go out and spend time with my family…See More

Yoga gifts have a way of giving back

The last 5 days have flown by, and pinch me, I see I am already 10 days into the challenge -- more than a third of the way to the end!I already feel so uplifted. In just 10 days my entire outlook has gone from being fairly dark to seeing that there is more good than bad.A quick recap of last 5 days: On Dec. 15, I gave a certificate for two one-hour yoga sessions to a dear friend of mine. To my surprise, she said it was the one thing she had always wanted -- that she just had never got around to…See More

Why I'm choosing to give:
I picked up the copy of the book, after seeing mention of it on a yoga website, and as I started to read I thought, I should give this a try. I started that very night! I'm 5 days in now and this is the first chance I've got to really look at the website. Mostly I think I want to keep my giving private, but maybe some of it will seem worth sharing. I'll see.
What I'd most like to receive:
To shed any fear that good things are scarce!
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
See above.
About me:

Thank you, Blue.
I understand your desire to keep your giving private... I felt that way to some degree.
Good things are not scarce... you will find more and more of them on this journey.
