I have been away for a few days and returned with the realization that my 29 Day Giving Challenge had gone off the boil. On Day Two of my challenge I have been up and going much earlier than I usually do on a Saturday. Something in my experiences of last night got to me. It prompted me to make a call to a friend who has been a long-time complainer that life is hard because she is a single parent and says "has to do everything on [her] own."

Reaching beyond myself

I am actually quite an outgoing person, but something traumatic that happened to me five years ago has led me to hold myself (the real me, the loving, giving me, the out-there me) back when I meet strangers (like bank officers, or clerks in stores, or just someone on the street.)
