HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Hi Carolyn,
Are your children a boy and a girl or two of the same sex? How do they get along? Yes, I do miss my little grandson terribly, but they ( my son, his wife, and Sam) will be visiting in January!!! I am so very excited. My youngest daughter and I visited them in July. Even though he is only 2 years old, I send him letters that he will have when he grows older and can read! I send him little gifts sometimes also. I love my daughter in love ( it sounds better than in law!). My sister and her husband live in Granite Falls, NC!!! I am happy you have a wonderful second marriage. Is your first husband still alive and part of the childrens' lives? The challenge is not going as well as I had hoped...probably due to more very poor health; that's one reason I took the challenge - to focus on others and I am doing my best. I am on Day ten though, and I am NOT giving up. I have lot of ideas of what I would like to do, but am unable. I will come up with something before the day is over though. I have been very ill for the past ten years with a myriad of diseases...the doctors do the best they can in treating me, but everything is chronic. I am an organ donor, but it's doubtful I will have a good organ to give by the time I die!!! I had an MRI last night, but won't hear from the doctor until tomorrow night, as she hasn't had a chance to look at the results ( I called the receptionist). My symptoms for the past 6 weeks have been constant vertigo (which I am on medicine for and it helps some but makes me more tired than I an normally ) and chronic headaches for which I am only allowed to take one migraine pill a week to prevent rebound headaches. My second husband of 7 years has been wonderfully understanding. My first husband died when my youngest was 2 years old due to colon cancer (I don't remember if I told you). We had been married for 20 wonderful years. I am so happy that this challenge is going so wonderful for you!!! That is great! The sun is shining here in VA and that is a good thing! I'm going to try to wash the dishes now...I haven't been able to cook much for the past 6 weeks due to illness. It is frustrating. I am reading Cami's book, but I haven't gotten very far. I actually have 3 books I am reading, so I need to stay focused and read one at a time!!! I will keep up this challenge and trust I will bless others in some small way. Love and Respect, Serena

Thank you for writing to me! The photo was taken on Lake Anna in Virginia where I live. Well, I live in Charlottesville, VA, but Lake Anna is about 45 minutes from us. We would love to live on the lake some day if we can ever afford a very small house on the water!!! We love boating. I have 4 children, one grandson who is 2 (but he lives in Colorado which makes me very sad - more than I can say), and my 2nd husband has 2 grown daughters; one is married. My first husband died of colon cancer when my youngest was only 2 years old. I can't find my photo on the web...how did you find it? I hope to hear back from you and a little about yourself! love and respect, Serena
