Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
Because I really believe that giving without expecting anything back creates major loads of positive energy. And, life becomes interesting and exciting with all the good things that come out of giving selflessly. And, I don't just mean things, I mean your time, support of others, helping someone get to where they want to go.....
What I'd most like to receive:
The gift of peace and clarity of mind when interactions with other people in our competitive world get challenging.

Posted on November 13, 2008 at 8:00pm 2 Comments

One of my past posts talked about my estranged relationship with my neighbor.....and, how, she and I had started a relationship moving beyond some initial bad interactions......someone read my post and said...."I bet you two will become good friends." Well, that is exactly what has happend. I really enjoy this woman's company. We started out with lunch and realized we can help eachother out. We are both independent business people and we chatted about our businesses and our goals etc. Tonight,… Continue

Hi have been so bad lately in not posting! Have I not been giving? Yes I have!

Here goes. I am going to lump several a days into one.

Day 23: Posted a recommendation to a business whose services I used on linked in.

Day 24: I just started a group on Facebook and I am profiling a member each week in order for the other

members and other facebookers to get to know this person and their business (it is a business group).

Day 25: Donated a lump sum of money to the… Continue

Day 22 Making Comfort Food

Posted on October 26, 2008 at 5:10pm 3 Comments

Last night, my husband and I decided to stay home and cook a great meal for ourselves. Which we did and enjoyed it.

Then we kicked back and were each working on separate projects in the same room ... I know how much my hubby likes to have a little something sweet after dinner. ( I try not too, cuz of the calories)..anyway, I had a bunch of leftover bread crusts from a tea party I threw the day before so I decided to find a recipe for bread pudding and whip some up!

It is so easy, you… Continue

Day 21 - Speading the word about Giving

Posted on October 26, 2008 at 5:02pm 1 Comment

I belong to a Toastmasters group and I gave a speech about blogging and social networking the other night.

I have found the experience to be able to blog on community websites like this is so positive that I want to share it with lots of people! I talked about how I found out about this site (on Facebook) and I talked about Cami's story. It was one of a few ways that I told the Toastmasters group that you can blog without having to start your own blog.

After the meeting, several… Continue

Day 20 - Family Matters

Posted on October 26, 2008 at 4:57pm 2 Comments

My mom recently fell and fractured her elbow. She is recovering very nicely, thankfully. She has been living in an assisted living facility that has taken very good care of her. However, one of my siblings (there are 5 of us) wants to move her closer to her home because she has been the farthest away these last 4 years. She is willing to take on the role of primary point person for emergencies etc. My mom will now be farther away from my home , which makes me sad. However, I believe that this… Continue
