Day 4

Posted on January 13, 2010 at 3:03pm 3 Comments

Today I felt rather uninspired and I'm really concerned I'm going to run out ideas before I finish. I don't work and I don't really have any friends in the area so I don't leave the house much. I do go to church once a week. I also don't have a lot of money so this is going to be tricky but I don't want to give up. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

My gift today was again mail. I sent a book to my Great Aunt that I was finished with. I also sent her a card. She has been sick and in… Continue

Day 3, January 12th, Mail

Posted on January 12, 2010 at 7:54pm 0 Comments

Today I gave the gift of mail. I sent a postcard to support our troops from letssaythanks.com. It didn't cost anythings. I also sent out cards to sick kids one was a birthday card with a couple of stickers in it and the other was a plain card/stationary that I put a coloring sheet in. I got the information from one through hugsandhope.org and the other makeachildsmile.org. I truly hope it brightens… Continue

Day 2, January 11th, Giving personal hygeine

Today I went through my linen closet and found a few brand new toiletries to add to a couple I got for Christmas that I will not use as well as some I bought to donate. I gave them to a local women's shelter. I had a whole bag of stuff to give! I love being able to find great deals on things so I can give them to those who need them.

I also went with my husband to tour a home for recently released prisoners. I was way out of my comfort zone. Since he asked me to go with him twice, I… Continue

Day 1, January 10th, Giving at Church

Posted on January 11, 2010 at 6:31am 1 Comment

Today was a day with a lot of little gives. It started with me hosting coffee hour at our church. I did bring the typical coffee cake but I also brough a box of clementines. I really want to set an example for healthier eating at the church. We rarely have healthy options available. I am not the healthiest eater but truly long to be.

Speaking of hosting coffee hour, I was put on the list to host without being asked. I was quite annoyed. The woman who did it said, "I thought you… Continue
