Why I'm choosing to give:
To help me through hard times of my boy friend living abroad, my gradfather's battle with cancer, and a over 20 year friendship coming to an end
What I'd most like to receive:
a husband and a family, personal health and another wild animal encounter oh and the ability to keep a clean house
About me:
I used to work with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse for almost 8 years...I am now a systems navigator for a prison re-entry program. So techicnally I give everyday gas cards, bus tickets, shampoo, laundry detergent, car repairs, college educations, etc. I lived in Germany before...I fasted for 3.5 months, not fun (due to a major surgery) I dream of going to Sri Lanka to work at the elephant orphanage. I have an urgent need to go to India and Sri Lanka. But my little piece of heaven is TIGERS preservation station!!!!!!! I must tell you that you have to go there. You get hands on with Lions, Tigers, Elephants, Chimps, Orangatans, Monkies, wolves, and more!!!!!! I must get back to T.I.G.E.R.S!!!! I really really want to work there. I love learning about new cultures and religions...I have wanderlust. I found this program travellersworldwide or another worldwide volunteer organization focusing on wildlife (my life dream) and I want to do one month at the Pinwalla elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka, one month at the Colombo Zoo in Sri Lanka, one month in India teaching orphaned children, one month rehabilitating oragatans in Malyasia, one month in South Africa doing the lion breeding project, one month in South Africa working with dolphins and whales, and one month in Boreno studying the coral reef. And I must get to Chengdu Panda Research Center! I do not know how to dive, yet....but snorkeling is great. I had a blast in Virgin Gorda swimming with the fish all day. After my trip to myrtle beach I want to volunteer with TIGERS Preservation Station and become a tiger trainer! I am very open minded and non judgemental. I love martinis and perfume. I am a collector of sock monkies, perfume, records....I am a library junkie...I go almost everyday. I am always a on the search for a new book, movie or musical talent. I am also on friendster and spark people. I am trying to loose over 100 lbs by eating mostly natural raw whole foods. I work out at the YMCA and I just started yoga. I love watching movies, especially out of sequence movies, foreign films, bollywood is great stuff. For some strange reason I can cry at anything, like the ending to dodgeball...why, who knows. Even a meijers commercial made me weepy. I also love to play games, darts, board games, cards, skee ball, bingo gives me a rush. Did I mention TIGERS???? I also have to chihuahuas!

Day one

Today I started my challenge....
First I gave Stacey's a bottle of white out...but I want more out of the challenge.....
Of course my ending friendship is heavily on my mind so I though I would give honor to my oldest friendship...Karen the married, pregnant, librarian (all things I wish to be) We've known eachother since we were four....we both love sock monkies so I found pictures on the internet, and made 4 collages for her. I also had left over pictures that I gave to her so she could maybe start a project of her own. I wrote her a card that said I valued our friendship and I hope she smiled today because of it....so after work I ran to the library to deliver my package (which I colored rainbow with my Mr. Sketch markers which I adore) She did smile and I told her about my challenge....she gave me a hug and I left feeling nice.

Afterwards I stopped at my Grandparents. My grandfather just found out last week that he has pancreatic cancer. They were super suprised and very happy to see me. She shared her dinner with me and told me funny stories of me growing up. She even gave me something to fix for tomorrows dinner!

So I took a few pics of my project with my blackberry
