Definitely gave a gift to my principal today. I went to talk to her about some serious grading issues. She was very upset because she was afraid that some students had not beent treated fairly by a teacher. Her lip was actually quivering as she spoke to me. I listened, gave her some advice, and best of all, gave her a big hug. When I hugged her, she seemed surprised and made a little sound like ahhhh. I think she could feel that I was really there for her.

An evening of gifts given from the heart to and from my friends. A reconnection with a friend I thought I had lost, conversation with friends I have not seen in over a month...gave money to the Food Bank, bought a beer for a friend, shared my pizza. Today I was back at work after living in my own little world for 5 days since the snowstorm of last weekend. I enjoy my job, but I have to say I miss the time I had to sit and think and write. Also, I am going to have to struggle today to think of what my gifts might have been. Every day at work I am able to give to somone else because of the nature of my job. I train teachers to use technology, work alongside them when they are teaching, and answer questions and trouble-shoot when they need… Continue

I had a successful day offering my gifts. I wrote a note of appreciation to a friend who has really supported me in the past year, and I offered to pay for a friend of mine to go dancing on Friday since money is tight for him right now. His pride caused him to turn me down, but at least he knows that I care for him and want to help him.… Continue
