Check out our CAUSE OF THE MONTH. For the month of December, the 29Gifts.org Community is supporting Operation Teddy Bear Care, which aims to help South African children whose lives are impacted by the AIDS epidemic. The organization's goal for this Holiday Season is to provide gifts for 1000 children living in poverty by December 31, 2008. Visit TeddyBearCare.org and purchase a Gift Pack and learn more about their work.

Help Us Grow: Please help spread the word, and encourage the spirit of generosity in the world. Send this email to friends and invite them to join us. Write about the challenge and include a badge or our video on your website, blog, facebook, or myspace page.

We also encourage you to PLAY GIFT TAG to help spread the word about 29Gifts.org and contribute to our operating expense fund.

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar, which helps you keep track of your gifts

That's great! I just finished my first round of gifting. I am going to start back up on January 1st because one of my friends wants to start then too. I will be her moral support! One cool gift I did was that I printed out the 29 gifts greeting cards and I mailed some to friends who live out of state. I also filled them out and hid them in odd places for my friends and family to find that live around me. I put my mom's in her checkbook. One of my friends asked me to hold her purse while she went to the restroom and I hid one in her wallet. It was fun hiding them. You can use my idea if you like. It worked out great for me!

Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
I just turned 50, and am looking for a way to show my gratefullness for all that I have received in life (from so many people) and what better way than giving to others?
What I'd most like to receive:
A sense that I am doing something for the greater good; a sense of purpose
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
I read about it in a magazine
About me:
I am happily married, a mother of a grown son, love animals, reading, walking and yoga. I have an extended family that has always inspired generosity (my aunt's favorite saying was that if you only had a dollar, you gave half to someone in need). I haven't been as generous in my own life, and want to change that going forward.
Do you agree to read and follow the 29Gifts Code of Conduct once you join our site?
