- Why I'm choosing to give:
- i've been a member here for a while and completed several 'rounds' during that time. each time i have gotten something new out of it. right now due to a recent upheaval in my life i feel like it's important for me to begin again and do another 29 day round, to make me focus outward. i am afraid if i don't i will turn into the kind of person i most fear becoming.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- peace of mind and a renewed excitement about the future.

- fifty years old, live with my husband and grown son in a travel trailer in a friend's pasture. i work part time in a second hand store that benefits a battered women's shelter. i love to quilt and read in my spare time.

Washing the Laundry :-P

i was at the laundromat today doing our laundry like i usually do on Sunday mornings. we have two laundromats in town, both owned by the same people. neither are in very good shape - about half the machines are broken and i don't think they're cleaned more than twice a year, if that. but the next nearest laundry is 30 miles away, so we're kind of stuck. we all do a lot of complaining about it, though.

i've been up to my old tricks; i've been giving but not blogging or even keeping track. here are a few gives i can remember from this week.
1. i scouted out a little cottage for my Dad and his wife to stay in next month when they visit for a couple of weeks. i made the arrangements, took pictures and emailed them, and asked the proprietress all the questions they wanted to know. i think everyone involved will be as happy as if they had good sense ;-P

my friend Brenda has been having trouble with her medicines, getting them adjusted to the right dosage, and as a result has been extremely tired and 'blah' for the last week or so. she's been trying to get motivated to put up her Christmas decorations - got as far as dragging the boxes out of the closet- but just couldn't summon the oomph! to do it. so this morning i went over to her house and got the halls (and kitchen and living room) decked for her.
