- Why I'm choosing to give:
- After 9/11 I set a goal to every day do at least one nice thing, no matter what, for every victim of the terrorists; this now includes our troops killed defending our freedom. Some days I achieve my goal of one act, if I am lucky, I can do two. This will be my reminder to try harder.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- Peace.
- How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
- I first heard about the book, the title intrigued me, and I actually paid full price for it instead of waiting to find it used.
- About me:
- I am a wife, mother to four, mil to three, grandma to seven, daughter of God, friend to whoever will have me as a friend, and an art student at my community college. I have lots of interests, and reading is right up there. I am also owned by a cat.

Today, I stayed home and cleared the livingroom carpet of stuff I had no where to put it, and I was actually able to lay down the area rug I bought back in July, after vaccumming. That was my gift to myself.

Keeping in mind that no day is ever a non-giving day, I've been doing ok. Friday I gave myself permission to stop reading a book that I wasn't really enjoying because I had already seen the movie. Most of the time that doesn't bother me, butimages from the movie were fighting with the images from the book. I am mailing it to my beautiful daughter-in-law as a surprise.
Saturday, I said to my husband "hey, lets go to a movie" and guess what?…
