A donation for my doctor (Day 3)
My family has had the same doctor for about 20 years now. He is the most amazing, caring, special doctor the world has ever known. He has been with my family through some very difficult times, especially with my Grandparents. A couple of months ago my Mom was sick and went to the doctors office. - Why I'm choosing to give:
- I was excessed from my job as a math teacher a year and a half ago. I have since then dealt with depression and anxiety. I sometimes wonder what my purpose here is. As I have not found my "soul mate" and do not have any children. There are days when I ask myself why I am here on earth, and sometimes when I am depressed, find it hard to see happiness in my days. My Mother bought me the book 29 gifts for Christmas. I picked it up, read the first chapter and cried. I did not put the book down until I finished it later that day. I realized that this was a perfect way for me to redirect my energy. I have decided to begin tomorrow. I am looking forward to giving and can't wait to see the changes I feel.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I hope to receive a sense of belonging. A feeling that I have a purpose here and that people want me here. I am not doing this hoping to receive material items from people, I am doing this to receive a feeling of happiness with myself.

- I am 31. I live alone with my dog, Buster. I am also planning on starting to meditate daily. I hope that this experience will change my outlook on the future.

I have to say that after yesterday, I had a hard time finding something as exciting as the pot. I had heard that a friend of mine that I have not seen in a long time had just ended a nine year relationship. I was in a nine year relationship from 1997 to 2006. I decided today that for my first gift I would finally give something that means a lot to me to someone that really deserves it. Carol worked as a pharmacy tech at my local pharmacy.
