- I am a 53 year old wife and mother, I work as a Nurse's Aide in an Assisted Living facility. While I do enjoy my work, I feel that its time for me to see what I can do for myself. I have always been a giving person now I feel I may be ready to recieve.

I'm back! Having been away from the giving challenge for a short while, I've come to realize that being challenged to give is simply a better way to live. While not giving consciously I was met with many small challenges of another kind, broken cars, absessed tooth, moody teens, bad days... I don't know if there is a correlation but I do know that The Giving Challenge worked for me and I'm willing to give it another 29…

I am so grateful to have been a part, albeit a small part, of the 29-Day Giving Challenge. I started out with the goal of finding a better career path and being brave enough to leave a job which I thought of as just that, a job. Now I see that its not about where you work or what you do to earn a living, Its all about the giving and recieving and making everyday a better day for someone and in return living a better life yourself. The past 3 days have been hectic with doing touristy things on the Cape with my sister and her family. In the midst of all this my husband was preparing for a trip to the Gulf of Mexico where he has been sampling and analizing oil from the BP spill last year. A busy and hectic time....Lots of giving going on and lots of love with family so close.
