Day 5: Small moments & good marks

Today at the office I had to call an insurance company for a client. The woman that helped me was very nice and asked me to take a survey to rate her services at the end of the call. Normally I wouldn't go for that, but today I agreed. I gave the automated system all the highest ratings and then at the end it asked if I wanted to leave a recorded voice comment. I left her a glowing review and really hope it comes just in time for a nice holiday bonus for her family.

Today I photographed a precious birthday party for my really good friend's five year old. It was pure sweetness. We're talking big blue eyes, pony rides, blonde ringlets and boots. BUT, I've had this on my calendar since before I started the 29 Day process so I realized tonight I don't think it really counts?

Elle, I just want to say THANK YOU! You are amazing and an inspiration to my daughter, Tica! She is totally absorbed in the books you have given her! There are thing I want to look up about my camera settings in the books, but rather than do it myself, I ask her if she might know and make her feel important and "all-knowing"!
I am going to find a way to get her a camera this XMas! You and Terry are so right. Thank you both for your positive words and also your kind words to me. I really needed them...you totally brought me out of a "funk"! I really mean that!
The books wrapped in lace were more than words can describe, to me and to Tica. You get double giving for that day!
You are beautiful and amazing, oh, and by the way, do not book yourself for April 14, 2012.....my husband and I are renewing our vows and I would like you to be my photographer! Please say yes!

Hi, Elle ! thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. i was wanting to give in Jenny's name but i wanted to do it in a more personal way because she was such a hands-on gal- she would carry gift cards for McDonalds and give them to homeless people and stuff like that- so i thought that contributing to Genuine's effort was perfect. thanks for helping out! i hope you have a wonderful week.
