I haven't officially done the challenge in almost a year. Although I am constantly thinking of others, I don't hold myself to any daily obligation. Giving to Haiti

Okay, so by now we all know how severe the devastation in Haiti truly is. As givers, I'm sure most of us have thought of how we can help. As someone who has only a modest income, I have been trying to figure out how to give cash (what the organizations in Haiti need most right now) without giving cash. I know...quite a conundrum! Crafty Way to Give

I recently became aware of an organization that is completely in line with 29 Gifts. It is called Craft Hope www.crafthope.com and they organize crafters who create knit/sewn/crocheted items to be donated to charities throughout the world. They then deliver the items and share their stories of the people and communities who received the items. They do a different project every few months or so from what I can tell. Tuesday I gave my boyfriend, the love of my life, a gift he has wanted to give himself for several years. As a Michigan State University alum, he has always wanted MSU football season tickets. For his 29th birthday this past Tuesday I gave him a set of season tickets. He opened them and at first thought I had given him a pair of tickets to one game. He said "thanks! Today is my second day of the challenge, and I had lots of ideas of what to do....plant flowers for a neighbor, write a note to a friend who is a new mom, and the list goes on.
