Does this look familiar? Yep, I'm going for it again here in the New Year. I left off with my blogging somewhere around Day 13 or 14 last time because of two pressing deadlines, but I'm going for it again with a fresh start and a new attitude. I…

Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
I heard about the 29 Day Giving Challenge and made the decision to do it on a Sunday as I was driving home from an afternoon of seeing clients. That evening I was looking forward to telling my boyfriend about it and I was going to suggest we both do it. I was planning to have dinner with him, which we did most Sunday evenings after I came home from work, but instead he called and said, "We have to talk..." Not quite as bad as Berger breaking up with Carrie on a Post-It on "Sex & The City", but my bf took that moment to break up our seven year (off and on) relationship on a phone call that lasted about five minutes. I understand he's currently quite active in the online dating scene using the tricks of a "Net To Bed" technique he learned from a online dating entrepreneur. Classy! No time like your late '40's to enjoy a second or third adolescence combined with a mid-life crisis I guess. He's out there ladies! Enjoy!

29-Day Gift Giving Challenge: Day 5

After the challenges I had in the last round of the gift giving challenge, I've started keeping a list near me so that when I get an idea for a gift I can give I write it down and when it comes to the end of the day if I don't feel I've given something concrete, I can quickly scan the list and do what seems feasible.

Today is one of the days that list could come in handy, but it's also a day when I don't think I'll know which one I picked until perhap… Continue

A Wave From Beyond The Grave

29 Day Giving Challenge: Day 4

My day today was kinetic. Is it just me or is everyone feeling this quickening? We're only 4 days in and things are just happenin'!

I knew today was going to be a busy day wherever I went because most everyone is just now coming back from the holiday break. I was in line at the bank at 4pm today and the place was teeming with bodies. The man behind me said, "What is everyone doing here? Shouldn't these people all be at work?" Yes people, you heard the man.… Continue

Mystery Achievements In Giving

29 Gift Challenge: Day 3

* Disclaimer: I feel like I gave a lot from the heart today, but the nature of the gifts were personal and confidential. So there's more here than will meet the eye, so to speak.

I saw a client today and we had a great session that really touched my heart. And again, what I notice when I start doing this challenge in a very conscious way is that there is just NO WAY to out give the Universe. I love what I do and am paid well for it AND my client brought me a Chr… Continue

29 Day Gift Challenge: Day 2

"Danger, Danger Will Robinson!"

My laptop computer's charging cord has a short in it. My screen keeps getting darker and lighter and I'm only half charged on my battery. If I hold REAL STILL I might be able to make it through this entry, but I'll keep it short and sweet.

The first gift of the day defies description. Ever since the New Year started there has just been this incredible WHOOSH of energy moving through me. I don't think I'm alone in feeling it, New Year's typically is one of your t… Continue

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.
