Day three - today was a simple gesture but one that made me smile. Sometimes I can go for a while without speaking to some of my closest friends. Yesterday I read about Stella, a brave little girl who, at only 17 months, is battling a rare type of cancer. I was deeply moved by the story and wanted to help her and her family in any way I could. I can't imagine what her parents are going through. Stella's chances of survival with the treatment available in the UK are just 20%. To bring her chances up to 80% the family campaigned to send Stella to the US for therapy not available in the UK. The major drawback was the price $250,000. The… Continue

I am overwhelmed to read about how this community and idea is impacting the lives of both gift givers and receivers. I am excited to be a part of the community. It feels like it has come at the perfect time, a time where I have been looking for ways to reach out and touch the lives of others, no matter how small the gift may be.
