Today I saw that there was much bread left over, so I fed the birds in the garden. They also liked to bathe in the water on the roof of our garden shed. I enjoy watching them. Today my son was at home since the teachers had to learn things themselves. I decided to really have the day off and went biking with him. Since we bought his new bike, about a month ago he is so enthusiastic that it is sometimes scary. The nicest thing was to race up the dyke and then down again. Today I thought that I went somewhere to do some editing work, but I ended up in a very inspiring conversation with two people about all the things we would like to develop in the future and how we might organise that. It came along with free advice on how to make use of my publishing firm. That is what working as a volunteer offers you: never a dull moment and rewarding in itself!

Later on I will be collecting the bags from my daughter and her friend by car, so that they can ride…

Today I was surprised by the mail. I ordered a book, but was not expecting it today. The book turns out to be a inspirational quest for the days between Christmas and Epiphany and the lessons you can learn from these days for the coming year. Since I am also making a special issue on celebrations I thought it a nice idea to promote this book. People are here to help each other I think.
