Round 3, Days 10--14
I have continued with my work for Haiti by distributing literature at a local restaurant and at my office. I also posted a website on my Facebook page for donations for Haiti. I also spent some time this week with a friend who needed to talk about her relationship concerns. I am worried that she may be in a potentially abusive situation.I sponsor a child from the Phillipines, Anna Marie, and I found out that she doesn't have a bed or even a mat to sleep on, so I sent a Special Gift donation so…See More

Haiti
I am planning to make my gifts this week to aid the people of Haiti. Yesterday, I volunteered at Hope for Haiti in Naples. People were bringing in medical supplies and donations throughout the day. Many of those contributing were Haitians living in Florida with family members who were affected by the earthquake. Please keep this nation in your thoughts.

I am especially enjoying this round of giving because my daughter is participating. This week I have received more than I have given, I think, and I am filled with gratitude. I made cookies for my coworkers and friends, ran errands for my boss, sent encouraging emails to friends, gave wild flower seed packets to a friend, gave a donation to Help for Haiti, Inc., and gave to the planet by recycling more. I consider myself to be on Round 11; I guess. I decided to call the first of each month a new round because it's just easier to keep track of that way. I don't have a written record of each day I've been doing the challenge, but I'm sure I've given something during each of them. I usually think of it before going to bed ... ask myself "what did I give today?" And then it pops into my head at different times when I will think "this is an opportunity to give."
