More days have flown by since my last post and what a mix as ever. Then here I am sat once again at the computer and feeling more like my old self! Not quite my old self however.



Today I gave some time to doing things around the house. Little things that perhaps I have been taking for granted for a while. I thought I'd give my loved ones a suprise and show how much I cared. I think about giving everyday, this site reminds me, but sometimes i spend too much time thinking about how much i am not giving. Maybe we all have days like this where we may feel down or not good enough and the negative thinking leads to a downward spiral. Sometimes things may be going wrong for us in our lives or for our loved ones. Being too hard on ourselves is not helpful nor is getting stuck down in the mire for too long. Today I spent time with my son after he had some troubles this morning. Not a difficult give - it's easy to give to those you love but it's not easy to see them in distress or trouble. While with him it got me thinking how lucky we are and what a harsh world we live in sometimes. I want to give him all that wasn't given in his childhood and I don't mean material things. I talked to him about it and was as supportive as I could be.

Again it's been a few days since I posted here. I was reminded of the giving challenge today when i was at the post office and an elderly man was trying to get out. He had left his electric wheelchair by the door but was struggling with his walking stick, a parcel and the heavy door. Helping him and chatting a bit just brought me back to earth. It's amazing how just a little encounter like this one can get you back in touch with life.

Well today started well though the gives were easy ones. Gives to family and especially our children are the easy ones but no less important. Well I gave my grown up baby, gifts in plenty today, and fully enjoyed it. We laughed alot together, as we shared some precious time, snatched craftily by me! He saw a whole new side of me which he said he had not seen before but which caused loads of laughter in the car. Precious time snatched and treasured.
