We finally saw a little sunshine around here today! It was a beautiful day. I baked muffins and took some to my parents, along with a magazine I know my Mom enjoys. We were blessed by a neighbor giving us sweet potatoes, more than we could use, which we in turn, have shared with some others.

My husband made breakfast for me this morning so the day started out well. My Mom gave me a can of pumpkin to make my Thanksgiving pumpkin pies with! :)

I donated a coat to a coat drive and some other clothes to a family that really could use them. We are so blessed - I buy clothes for my granddaughter to use when here if needed, and often times, she wears them once or twice, if at all, before she outgrows them. I was happy to pass those along. We used them when needed, now someone else can use them. I also took her shopping for some needed items and a coat and new shoes. Yesterday I went online and ordered some videos for my Mother. Today I bought my granddaughter a video; she is coming this weekend and we will have a movie night tonight, with popcorn and the works! I also dropped some money in the Ronald McDonald House collection box at McDonald's when I picked up a quick burger at lunch. I know it's difficult to have a family member sick and have to stay for extended periods of time away from home while they are getting well. I feel good about lending a hand… Continue

Today I gave a bag of food to the local food bank. A local grocery store had some prepackaged grocery bags that you can purchase and donate, and you can also donate any items you wish in a box up front of the store. My boss told me I could have the afternoon off....a gift to me! My husband was at home, so I stopped and got lunch for us and we had lunch together here at home.
